78 London Fashion Week Street Style Looks That Will Make You Excited to Get Dressed Again

Thanks to London Fashion Week street style, I’m actually excited to dress for the rest of winter. It feels like a revelation, but I suppose it’s not particularly surprising. The same thing happens every February: I’ll click through a new batch of London street style (I love the stuff that comes out of New York, Milan and Paris, too, but London’s show-goers have a particular breed of joie de vivre that leaps off the screen) and my seat will start to get metaphorically hot — so hot, in fact, that I am compelled to leap straight up (also metaphorically, but stay with me) and look at my closet with entirely new eyes.

That’s when things start to get literal, because all of a sudden the outfit-generating portion of my brain is spitting out ideas — ones I can actually recreate without too much effort because real people with real-people wardrobes and real-people considerations (i.e. getting from place to place, warding off the winter elements, etc) are demonstrating how right in front of me.

For example, pairing a tie-dye T-shirt with sweatpants and a brightly colored coat (slide #6). So cool! So easy! Or what about wearing a turtleneck with a patterned midi-skirt and a puffer vest (slide #31)? Yes please, and sign me up for second helpings. There’s also safety pin trick (slide #35) I’m dying to discuss, but I don’t want to spoil too much. This slideshow is basically the Game of Thrones of street style roundups (juicy character development and plot twists aplenty), so please do take a click-through on your own time and let me know which outfit ideas are reinvigorating your desire to outfit yourself from now until spring decides its hour is nigh.
