IT HAS HAPPENED. The wardrobe transition is officially upon us.
This autumnal changing of the guards is a double-edged sword. It’s like a haircut; you’re sad to see the layers drop, but excited by the prospect of the woman that you could become as prompted by the chilly air. What’s hard is that you need new clothes to take you there. I know that I have a violent vendetta against my current closet and if any of those clothes try to come NEAR ME THEN I WILL LIGHT THEM ON FIRE. I hate them. Get away from me!!!!
I told on the old pair of jeans I was wearing to Leandra five different times yesterday.
Me: “Leandra!”
Her: *Silence.*
Me: “Leandra!”
Her: “What??”
Me: “Tell my jeans to stop touching me!”
Because she’s of zero help, and because she is a full-time exhibitionist, her only advice was to take them off. So I did. Then I sat in the office and scoffed, pondered how nudism would work for the weeks it would take me to donate everything that didn’t ~*spark joy*~ and then calculated how to afford new things. Still working on that.

But I did come across a ton of things I want, and the hefty push began with Elizabeth and James. <- This is not a sponsored post! It’s just that I haven’t hung out with them in a while so it’s like, who knew? The brand’s cool. (Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are the designers so I guess no shit?) ^ That’s not me either, by the way. It’s Joy Yun, our model for the day.
Holiday, which just dropped like a new record, has all of the velvet and bell sleeves you could want.
Fall, meanwhile, is like the leopard-coated, lounge-wear inspired, drape-y, elegant, grown-ass woman of your dreams. The one you’ve always wanted to be but didn’t know where they were holding tryouts.
