We Threw a Sleepless Sleepover at Our Pop-Up

The worst part about being an adult is the lack of sleepovers. That’s why this past Wednesday, we invited 50 community members to join us for a “Girls Night In,” which we defined as, essentially, a sleepover — minus sleeping, plus wine. We were celebrating MR Bazaar’s final week at Canal Street Market so we wanted to do it right, you know?

It’s not a sleepover without arts and crafts. There were 15-minute foil manicures by Paintbox and on-site back massages by two magicians from Zeel. To power us through those grueling activities, Organic Grill brought a spread that none of us could resist returning to over and over. There were also cans of wine, per usual, from The Drop and bottles of smartwater. And finally, there was an incredible performance by Tangina Stone, who played four acoustic songs. We all agreed she could have gone on for twice as long, we even forced her to encore her song Suntan (which you can listen to here!). Click through above to see everything for yourself; the words don’t do it justice.

We didn’t actually sleep over at our pop-up, that might have been a bit much/perhaps illegal, but we did our best to create a cozy space for everyone to come be themselves with us. It was the perfect way to say goodbye, because it encapsulated why we created the pop-up in the first place. So thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday or any time over the course of the last month. Cliché as it sounds, you helped us turn a dream into reality. For that we’re very very grateful.
