Market Report: Hair Jewelry

How many ways can I say, “Man, it’s hot,” before it sounds so superfluous that in spite of its blistering truth, it sounds, somehow, like a lie? Let me try one more time based on the assumption that you’re going to believe me because I essentially gave myself license to mean it in that first sentence.

We good?

Man, it’s hot! Too hot for clothes and in some cases, accessories, too, which means that now, at now o’clock, you have exactly now time to indulge in a hair accessory that will do all the stuff that your clothes can’t.

Feeling festive, kind of royal and a bit like Grease’s Cha Cha in that if you could be wearing layers and layers of tulle across your chest you would be, but for now an embellished hair pin will do? Cool. I get it. So will your onlookers. Try this guy.

Or is it a rather chipper day for you? Got a bounce in your step indicative of just how appreciative you are for the sun beating down your back and the sweat rolling across your arm creases? As if to remind you that for as long as the ice cream melts, you will have something to look forward to, and that is enough to get you out of bed in the morning?

I feel you. And it!

Or perhaps you’re busy. Busy but sleek and relentless in maintaining your composure. You definitely filed your taxes on time — I could tell by a mere glance at the back of your head. And for that, I feel a healthy dose of envy.

But I salute your attention to detail. It takes a big opinion, one that’s admirable, to see and say so much with but a mere hair clip.
