If you’ve heard rumors about a new Man Repeller Instagram account floating around, YOU HEARD RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There’s a brand new inspirational nest for your precious eyeballs to roost.
It’s called @mrinmycart, and it’s a record of stuff we want to buy per the installment that already exists on manrepeller.com.
Why? I’m glad you asked. If you frequented Man Repeller when it first emerged from the birth canal in 2010, you know that it was very much a fashion blog, through and through. Like a tiny artisanal ice cream shop, it specialized in one particular flavor blend: a style and humor swirl. Over the years, the ice cream shop grew and the flavor options expanded and diversified (beauty! culture! politics!) which is neat because now there’s a little something for everyone, like a great, big, cherry-topped sundae with limitless tasting spoons.
But sometimes you just want an OG scoop of style and humor, you know? And that’s exactly what MR In My Cart will serve you. Think of it like the discover page on Instagram, except fashion-focused and curated especially for you by the editors at Man Repeller.
It’s been in the works for months and I couldn’t be more excited to have it finally be public because WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE STUFF:
Elizabeth is the primary market wizard behind this account and I find myself simultaneously loving and hating how good she is at finding things I want to buy because I think I need this necklace immediately?
These Shrimps purses have been haunting me not only because they have the balancing capabilities to rival Cirque du Soleil performers but also because pearls are having a moment and I want to be a part of it.
Just when you thought Birkenstocks were on the cusp of fading into the trend graveyard, poof! Kirna Zabete injects them with fresh life in the form of colors that make my toes want to sing the “Hallelujah” chorus. I would wear these with socks all fall in a heartbeat.
The designer behind these beauties, Jessica Winzelberg, describes herself as a “Banker turned goldsmith and fine jewelry designer,” which is definitely one of the best Instagram bios I’ve ever come across in my day.
Speaking of good Instagram bios, though, there’s a reason MR In My Cart’s is “Come for the fashion, stay for the jokes,” as evidenced by the shoe and caption above.
And there you have it: shopping picks, new designers to know, fashion-focused rambles all swirled together with commentary that will hopefully tickle your diaphragm. Best flavor of ice cream ever, huh?
