This week’s episode of Monocycle is one last plea in the direction of letting loose. When I listened back to it, I rolled my eyes at myself, like, six times, partially because I use both food and the gym as a metaphor far too frequently (which is maybe also because of my own hang-ups?), but also because being able to let loose — I mean really fuck the world and do you — is a privilege. One in which not many people can truly indulge the way that I suggest they do. So maybe to cap off this series, I should just tell you what needed to be said at the top of week one: let loose is about letting loose! Sometimes I feel like I put so much pressure on myself that even if reality looks fantastic, I can’t quite see it because I’m too busy trotting along in my hamster wheel.
No more.
