Oh Boy Episode 47: Cathy Lew

Cathy Lew is so funny. The writer once did a “Daily Shouts” for The New Yorker where she paralleled Drake and Bernie Sanders. (“He dances like an old man, and I like it.”) Another piece she wrote for the publication’s humor section: Grandmas Rise Up Against Millennials.

In this episode of Oh Boy, we learn that Lew hates lines and, growing up, had her binder decorated with Tupac on one side and Kurt Cobain on the other. She always knew she’d end up in New York — so much so that she never learned how to drive. And then, you know, she did end up here and not only pursued her dreams of becoming a comedy writer, but flourished.
