Sometimes I play this game with myself when I’m shit out of luck in the inspiration department and getting dressed starts to feel more like a chore that needs to be crossed off my to-do list before I can leave home and less like a fun and fantastical way to escape the perils of nudity. The game has no rules. Essentially, all you have to do is visit a) Instagram b) Pinterest c) a blog you really like and then pull a photo that makes you feel even somewhat excited to get dressed and call yourself The Street Style Copy Cat.

For today’s edition, I’ve nominated Pandora Sykes as perpetrator of outfit-I-would-like-to-wear, what with her gold ass pants reflecting off a pair of sturdy red boots, a vintage-looking houndstooth blazer and a mandarin-collar blouse that has reminded me that I have a very similar one. Oh joy.
The next step in the game is simple. Either take to your closet and recreate, or if you’re bored at work, pretend the Internet is your closet and recreate.
I shall demonstrate with the below bars.
Gold pants?
Check, check, not quite gold, but gold enough, check!
Red boots?
Duh x duh x not boots, but I’ll take them x duh x okay.
Her shirt is vintage Ralph Lauren, ours don’t have to be.
Here and here (maybe you want denim?) and here (or maybe you’d just like a special white button down?) you go!
And as for the blazer, it is actually Sandro, but here are some other close approximations.
Boom shaka laka. Are you street style copy-catting someone else? Who the hoot is it? SHOW ME.
