Celebrity Doula Latham Thomas Talks Menstrual Cycles and Self-Care

In partnership with Juice Beauty

My friend Latham Thomas is like a meditation session, medicine woman, bubble bath, glass of wine, therapist, life coach, full body massage and cheerleader wrapped in one. In other words, she is a woman who immediately makes you feel like you can treat yourself and take on the world at the same time. And that’s kind of her job. As a wellness expert, doula and author of Own Your Glow: A Soulful Guide to Luminous Living and Crowning the Queen Within, Latham’s number one priority is helping women embrace their unique feminine edge using self-care as a pathway to empowerment.

Through her company, Mama Glow, Latham has not only been a doula to the stars (think Alicia Keys and Nicole Tuck, mom of Asahd Tuck Khaled), she’s helped millions of women learn more about how to be confident in who they are and how to take care of themselves — spirit, soul and body — during life transitions and chaotic times.

In this episode of The Call, we talk about birthing our dreams, how to lean into those parts of ourselves that we’ve been told are “too much” and, my favorite: What would happen if our work lives respected our menstrual cycles? (Maybe accidentally unplug your headphones and let your boss hear that section…)

Anyway, I hope you really enjoy this episode and get a deeper understanding of how important self-care is. I know I did.
